  • 2:30 Reliance

Reliance has grown to be one of the most in-demand Bluegrass groups in their region. Most family bands sound like family bands, built on love and all the good stuff that makesa family band worth watching. Some are even good, while once in awhile, one willapproach greatness. Reliance has that knack, with all 4 members exhibiting proficiency on their instrument and vocal parts.

Ronnie Raper is a first-class rhythm/lead guitarist with a rich baritone vocal suitable for both country and bluegrass material, while Denise Raper , a veteran Southern Gospel singer/pianist, has found her place as a solid bassist and vocalist for Reliance. Dustin Raper rests in that place between traditional and contemporary banjo stylings, further adding to the versatility of the Reliance sound. Last, and to quote Ronnie, "certainly not least", Nicholas "Kingfish" Raper is a gifted young mandolinist and singer. No weak links here, just high entertainment value with a family flair.
