Join the fun at an old-fashioned
pie auction
Hear Dr. John Forgety auction pies to the highest bidder
Make some cash for your favorite club or charity
- Auction is open to church
groups, clubs, civic organizations, school groups, PTO's,
booster clubs, etc. Individuals may make a pie for a
group. An individual may enter a pie only if the proceeds
are designated for a specific charity or group. There will
be a limit of two pies per organization.
- 90% of the proceeds from the
pie sale will go to the entrants with 10% reserved for MooFest.
- Contest is limited to the
first 100 entries with pre-registration required.
- Pies must be round, 10-12
inches in size, home-made, and brought in a disposable
container. No cobblers.
- Entries will be accepted from
3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the Johnson building on the square in
downtown Athens. The auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with
Dr. John Forgety auctioneering the pies to the highest bidders.
- Entries can be made on the
Moofest website or entry blanks can be picked up and returned to
the McMinn County Board of Education Central Office or the
MooFest Headquarters.
- Deadline for entries is
Friday, May 26, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
- No refrigeration will be
available for pies.
- Pies will be placed in a
transportable box at time of entry.
